The true foundation of Prehistoric Kingdom, Guests are the main source of income and popularity of the park, deciding the overall rating based on how well managed it is. The main challenge of the game is to meet the needs and wants of your visitors, requiring an ample supply of Guest Facilities, great viewing points to study the animals of your zoo, and anything else they might need.
In-Game[]
Guests function as the primary source of income and ratings, thus properly pleasing guests is possibly the most important aspect to have an attractive park to gain more visitors and better ratings.
Guests themselves have different physical appearances and traits, some implemented and some planned, to reflect the diversity of humans seen in real life. Various attributes such as skin color, hair color, clothing and gender vary amongst the guests, with Prehistoric Kingdom using a variable system to generate guests with different traits. The state of children and elders as possible guests is unknown, considering their prior appearance in concept art.
Guests enter the park via a Visitor Entrance. They will also leave via this module when their budget is spent, or prematurely if they are dissatisfied. Their needs are divided into six categories: Nutrition, Bathroom, Shopping, Entertainment, Education and Accommodation. To fulfill these needs, people require access to facilities like restrooms, food kiosks and gift shops, and if they find the park lacking in these, its ratings will plummet.
Artificial Intelligence[]
Guests, like animals, have functioning AI to provide an immersive experience. To meet their needs, they will walk across paths or any modular pieces that are flat enough, such as floors. Guests will crowd around amenities but also animal exhibits, possibly leading to the stressing of animals who enjoy quieter exhibits in future updates. When an area receives more attention than it is set up for, overcrowding may arise, which will hamper the movement of guests and they may become unsatisfied. Therefore, park managers should think about the appropriate width of paths, the distribution of access points and the placement of viewing opportunities to allow for proper throughflow at all times.
Security[]
In future updates, guests will require security and protection, as many of the animals within Prehistoric Kingdom could easily prove to be a massive threat to comparatively fragile humans. Breakouts will undoubtedly lead to a drop in ratings and potentially even to deaths. In order to keep both your guests safe as well as your ratings high, maximizing security must always be a priority.
